Knoxville Symphony Orchestra: Music from the Movies

Join us for the second performance in our free community concert series. Tickets are free and will be available on a first come, first served basis beginning October 4, 2024 at 10 AM. Enjoy a night out with the family and celebrate the arts at NPAC!

Enjoy selections from beloved movie soundtracks performed by a live symphony orchestra! Hear the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra (KSO) perform selections from Titanic, E.T., and Grease, among many others. “Every important occasion in life must have music,” said the founder and first conductor of the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra, Bertha Walburn Clark.

Formally established in 1935, the KSO is the oldest continually performing symphony orchestra in the Southeast. Now almost 90 years later, the KSO consists of 80 professional musicians, and performs 300 programs throughout the region each season, reaching audiences of more than 200,000 people. The KSO continues to develop and sustain a symphony orchestra of the highest artistic standards to reach East Tennessee audiences with excellent musical performance and education programs.
