Central Ballet Theatre of Greeneville (CBT) will present the ballet, Cinderella: Beauty from Ashes, at the Niswonger Performing Arts Center (NPAC) on the third weekend in January 2027, and we hope you will consider supporting us.
As we celebrate our 23rd season under the artistic direction of Lori Ann Sparks and our third year performing at the NPAC, we give thanks to be working again with NPAC’s fantastic staff and state-of-the-art technology.
With a cast of 110 dancers, ages three through adult, Cinderella: Beauty from Ashes shows how a soot-stained girl triumphs over cruelty with kindness and is transformed from the ashes of brokenness into a beautiful princess whose dream to live in courage comes true. Familiar characters include the kind & courageous Cinderella, her lovely mother who tragically passes away, her faithful father, her cruel stepmother and self-absorbed daughters, a magical fairy godmother, funny animal friends, a brave king, and a kind Prince who searches for the girl who has stolen his heart.
Christian themes include learning to live kindly and courageously in times of trial, forgiving those who harm others, putting on the garment of praise to remove heaviness, and exchanging ashes for beauty to become strong in the Lord.
