It’s all About the Experience

We welcome you to the Niswonger Performing Arts Center with warm smiles and true Southern hospitality! We strive to make your experience at our center enjoyable and memorable whether you are attending a classic rock concert, the ballet, or an orchestra for the very first time.

We’ll help you locate where you’ll park, explore the options for dining, and find a place to stay if you are visiting from another city. Whether it’s your first visit, or you are a seasoned patron, our goal is to make it the best experience possible.

Directions

NPAC is located at 212 Tusculum Blvd in Greeneville, TN.

From Interstate 81, take the US-11E exit, EXIT 23 toward Greeneville 13.5 miles. Turn right onto North Main Street for 0.2 miles. Turn left onto Tusculum Boulevard for0 .2 miles. NPAC will be on your right.

Parking

A variety of surface lots are available, including those at Walters State Niswonger Campus and at Greeneville High School which is adjacent to NPAC.

FAQ's

Lobby doors open 1 hour prior to the performance. Auditorium doors typically open 1 hour prior to the performance but may vary based on specific artist requirements.

Parking is available at a variety of surface lots, including those at Walters State Niswonger Campus and at Greeneville High School adjacent to NPAC.

Accessible spaces are filled on a first-come, first-served basis located in the front of the high school. A drop-off zone is also located in front of the venue. Parking attendants are available to assist you.

A complimentary round-trip shuttle is provided for guests staying at The General Morgan Inn or dining at Brumley’s Restaurant.

No food or drink is allowed or sold. Complimentary bottled water is provided.

Video equipment, recording devices, and professional cameras (cameras with detachable lenses) are prohibited and subject to confiscation. Exceptions to this include properly credentialed press by artists, media, and those approved to photograph directly from the artist/artist management. No iPads or similar large-screen tablet devices are allowed. No flash photography.

Persons entering the venue are subject to search. All bags are subject to search. No backpacks or similar items.

No firearms are allowed within the venue, including those carried by concealed permit holders, with the exception of security personnel under the direction of management. No weapons, outside food or beverage products, illegal substances, large Ipads or similar large screen tablet devices, signs/banners, glow sticks, laser pointers, flashlights or similar products are allowed.

All guests must have a ticket, regardless of age. One person per seat or handicapped space. Some performances are suitable for mature audiences only.

There is no required dress code. Some people enjoy a night of dressing up while others feel more comfortable in khakis and jeans. Please consider other guests when applying fragrances as the auditorium is a closed area with many people in close proximity to one another.

No, but there are several nearby banks with ATM’s. Please note that many artists selling merchandise only take cash.

Please see one of the ushers, a staff member or make your way to the box office for assistance. Any items that are found will be held in a safe place.

No smoking except in designated outside areas including all tobacco products and e-cigarettes or similar products.

An elevator provides access to Upper Mezzanine and Balcony levels. Seats located in Mezzanine and Balcony sections are stadium style seating and only accessible by stairs.

Seats designated with a bright blue circle are Handicapped Accessible seats. Seats designated with a wheelchair icon are Wheelchair positions and are void of theater seats to allow space for wheelchairs. Please contact the Box Office at 423-638-1679 for further assistance.

Accessible seating is reserved exclusively for patrons with accessible needs and their companions. Depending upon availability, seats for additional guests will be located as close as possible to the accessible space. This policy ensures that we are able to accommodate guests that need accessible seating.

For guests who wish to transfer to a seat from their wheelchair, we will store your wheelchair in a safe location. Our staff will make arrangements to return the wheelchair to you at the end of the event.

The Niswonger Performing Arts Center is committed to working with patrons on a case-by-case basis to adequately accommodate individual needs. All ticket sales are on a first-come/call, first-served basis and will depend on ticket availability. There is no guarantee that any companion tickets will remain unsold. Assistive Listening Devices are available for hearing-impaired guests at all Niswonger Performing Arts Center events. Please visit the Box Office and request an Assistive Listening Device. Guests will be required to leave valid identification such as a driver’s license as collateral. This is a complimentary service.

Animals or pets of any kind are prohibited in the Niswonger Performing Arts Center except for trained service animals and service animals in training for guests with disabilities. Service animals are welcome inside the venue but must remain on a leash or in a harness at all times. Service animals will rest in the seating area of the individual with a disability, rather than in the aisle. A guest whose service animal poses a threat to the safety of other Niswonger Performing Arts Center guests and employees may be asked to escort the animal off the premises.

There is a no refund or exchange policy at NPAC due to contractual obligations with artists. Rarely is there a cancellation of a performance due to weather. Please note that all performances or cancellations are at the discretion of the artist.

Patrons will be notified via email of any changes to a scheduled performance. In addition, please visit our website and social media for updates. Weather related notices that impact a performance are immediately posted. If a show goes on as scheduled we are unable to refund tickets.

In the event of inclement weather, please plan to allow ample time to travel and arrive safely. The lobby opens one hour prior to showtime to accommodate an early arrival.

For all side sections, lower seat numbers are more toward the center of the theatre; while higher seat numbers are more toward the outside of that section.

Seats located in Right sections are even numbered. Seats located in Left sections are odd numbered.

There are no stairs to navigate in the Orchestra section. However, the floor does slope downward toward the stage. Mezzanine and Balcony levels are accessible via elevator; however, seating is stadium style and the ability to navigate stairs is necessary. All balcony seats, except for the front row, require stair access and are not wheelchair accessible. All mezzanine seats, except for the back row, require stair access and only the back row is wheelchair accessible. Patrons with walking difficulties or other mobility issues should not select Mezzanine or Balcony seating.

When purchasing Balcony seating, please note that for the safety of our guests, there is a guidewire system extending across the entire front row of the balcony and some views may be considered obstructed.

Niswonger Performing Arts Center does not allocate tickets or authorize any other ticket seller, service, broker or agent to sell tickets to our events. If you purchase tickets from anyone other than Niswonger Performing Arts Center, please check the seller’s credibility and examine tickets carefully for authenticity.

In Tennessee, anyone may buy and resell legitimate tickets. Therefore, buyers should strongly consider the following before purchasing from a third party:

Resellers may carry substantial service fees, often much higher than face value. We cannot control the fees someone else may charge for tickets.

We cannot be responsible for tickets purchased through third parties. Your tickets cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.

We cannot guarantee that your tickets are valid and, therefore, cannot guarantee admittance.

We cannot contact you with information regarding time changes, show cancellations or other information.

Duplicate, counterfeit or otherwise altered tickets will not be honored for admission to any performance.

NPAC reserves the right to refuse admission or eject any person violating venue rules; local, state or federal law; or whose conduct is deemed illegal, disorderly, or offensive by management and/or the event producer.

All ticket sales are final. No refunds or exchanges except in the event of performance postponement or cancellation. In the event of postponement, requests for refunds must be made within 72 hours of performance postponement. NPAC is not responsible for lost or stolen tickets. All dates, times, programs and artists are subject to change. Special offers cannot be combined with other discounts or previous purchases and certain restrictions apply. No re-entry without ticket.

If you are in need of accessible seating you may purchase tickets online, by phone, or at the NPAC Box Office.

Accessible seating tickets are available through the NPAC website and the Niswonger Performing Arts Center Box Office. Accessible/disabled seating is available in specific locations in the theater.
